We can provide a high performance injector for almost any
application, including some that are
usually available from our stock. Building a high performance
injector is NOT simply a matter of installing a larger nozzle, but
also involves porting of the injector passages, as well as
adjustments to electronic control valves as required.
We use a process known as "Abrasive Flow Machining"
or AFM to both increase and improve the fuel flow
characteristics of the nozzles. The AFM process
will produce internal structures, controlled radii,
polished surfaces, and uniform micro-hole sizes
previously unattainable using typical EDM processes.
Advanced high-pressure fuel injection systems on late
model diesel engines face high cycle fatigue challenges,
and the repeated pulses of very high pressure fuel can
generate fatigue failures at high stress areas within
the nozzle. Smoothing and removal of surface
cracks and uniform radiusing of sharp edges by the AFM
process can also improve the nozzles expected service
life.
Typically we can increase flow rates from 10% to 60%,
and we have gone even higher if requested by a customer.
We can either apply our processes to your injectors, or
we can build a set to your specifications on an exchange
basis.
Due to the nature of the performance injector
business, our warranty is limited to defects in
workmanship. We cannot warrant any parts failures
where the parts have been modified to increase their
performance beyond the manufactures intended purpose!
